Fitness trade show draws thousands in Orlando

Orlando_SentinelAn array of machines, weights and accessories from more than 380 exhibitors were on display during the two-day International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association trade show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando last week.

While technology was the hero at this year’s conference, exhibitors showed a variety of new fitness equipment and updates to current brands. According to the Orlando Sentinel, among them were bicycles designed to be pedaled in a swimming pool, vibrating platforms that purportedly boost circulation and muscle contractions, rowers with a water flywheel, a bicycle camera that doubles as a GPS and a speedometer, and virtual-exercise systems.
